Woods Hole Service Launches 08/14/2021

Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Company announced today that, effective Saturday, August 14th, the company will begin daily bus service from Woods Hole and Falmouth Station to South Station and Logan Airport in Boston.

John Cogliano, president of Plymouth & Brockton, said today that Plymouth & Brockton has secured licensing agreements from the Steamship Authority and the Falmouth EDIC which enables P&B buses to pick up and drop off passengers at the Woods Hole Ferry Terminal and the Falmouth Station. He said that the addition of the new bus service between Woods Hole and Falmouth Station to Logan Airport will provide reliable transportations options that are cost-effective for the public.

Cogliano said, “P&B bus service will include stops in Woods Hole, Falmouth Station, and Sagamore. From there, the bus will head directly to Boston South Station then Logan International Airport. He continued, “We are very pleased to add these routes to our service. We believe there is a demand for the service and we are looking forward to providing this transportation option for residents of Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, and the Cape.”

Cogliano, who held the top state transportation positions including Commissioner of the Massachusetts Highway Department, Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation, Chairman of the MBTA, and the Chairman and CEO of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, said, “This new daily bus service from Woods Hole and Falmouth to Logan alongside our hourly bus service from Hyannis through the South Shore to Logan Airport provides more transportation options to the public than any other bus company serving Cape Cod. P&B provides the most daily bus service between Cape Cod and Boston and Logan Airport.”

“Traveling on a Plymouth and Brockton bus to Boston, Logan Airport, and Cape Cod is a safer, greener, and more cost-effective way to travel to your destination. Every P&B bus can take up to 55 cars off the road which reduces local traffic congestion, reduces overall gas consumption, and truly benefits the environment,” Cogliano said.
