Kennedy Plaza

Effective - July 14, 2014
Plymouth & Brockton is pleased to announce that we will be offering service to
Providence RI, via Middleboro, Taunton & Somerset

The route has been in the planning phase for nearly a year.
During this time, we have been in contact with a number of state and local authorities as they finalized their plans for the new East-West route.
We have gained significant support and interest from communities along the route.
As part of the launch, P&B has placed in service a new Commuter Coach - provided through BusPlus+
which is funded by a Federal Transit Administration grant that is overseen by MassDOT’s Rail and Transit Division.
The route will run daily (click here for a PDF of the schedule).
We see this as a great example of how the private sector and public transportation can work together.
The state’s support of the route and the new bus, and our private sector experience will help make this route a success.

The East-West link will offer travelers other distinct advantages since in Providence there are connecting bus routes and AMTRAK for those who wish to travel on to New York.
Also,  Plymouth is a great tourist destination and this route offers bus service to Plymouth which should be very popular during the summer and fall months.
As Route 44 becomes more heavily traveled, we have long believed that bus transportation can help people who travel that corridor on a regular or occasional basis.

Travelers will enjoy the comfort of a new MotorCoach Industries (MCI) bus,
a state-of-the-art vehicle designed with greater legroom, state-of-the-art restrooms, Wi-Fi and 110 volt outlets for passenger convenience.
The MCI model is designed for highway speeds, featuring a touring-level interior and wheelchair accessibility.
The coaches offer ergonomically designed Kiel seats, and will accommodate 51 passengers for increased commuter comfort.

RIPTA offers frequent local service between TF Green Airport and Kennedy Plaza.

Plymouth & Brockton does not accept reservations.
Tickets may be purchased in advance, but do not guarantee a seat
on any particular date or at any specific time.
Please arrive 15-30 minutes before departure, to purchase tickets.
